About G.C.C.U.S.A

Gold Coast Cricket and Umpires and Scorers Association (GCCUSA) is a community group passionate about the game of cricket, but specifically umpiring and scoring. We train and support umpires and scorers, provide equipment and provide pathways for local umpires to progress to a higher level.

GCCUSA was started as an informal association in October 1980 by a small group of umpires, and with a $100 donation from the then Gold Coast and District Cricket Association. In the early days, the umpires met in the Secretary’s garage in Southport. Umpire fees then were just $15 for an afternoon. The association was first registered in 1989.

GCCUSA is now an independent Incorporated Association, with 47 members. We meet monthly at the Gold Coast Cricket rooms in Robina.

Since 2021, the current President has been Bob Myatt, with past presidents including Dave Johnson, Les Garraway, Paul Baker, Laurie Bradley, Alan Edwards, and Bernie Brennan.
